November 2nd, 2005

This month has made Tony a year older and little wiser. We were treated like royalty at Fort Union's Bucca di Beppo where we sat in the kitchen and the chef served us fantastic mashed potatoes. They have the best Italian food. Everything is served family style, and they certainly know our family because the portions are huge! If you ever get the chance to go, I definitley recommend the tortellini.

On Wednesday we had Benjamin, Leah, Andy, Laurie, Cody, Ashley, Scott, Kacee and of course Taryn over for pumpkin pie and ice cream. Tony certainly is loved by some great people.

Cathleen ni Houlihan and Deirdre

An Evening of W.B. Yeats Plays
He is best known for his staring role in Mrs. Fisher's 4th grade class' redition of George Washington, but for English 384R Tony was in two plays, both written by Yeats. In the first play, Cathleen ni Houlihan, he portrays, "Peter Gillane." This play compares Ireland to an old woman as well as a beautiful queen, and the almost mystical appeal of fighting for Ireland's freedom.
The second play, Deirdre, Tony played, "A dark-faced executioner." Deirdre has been declared as the founding myth of Ireland. It is a story of passion and devotion fighting against defeat and oppression.

Clips of Tony's performance can be found below.

This is the second video for our Hines Mansion trip. It's a beautiful B&B in Provo. They had REAL cable and I watched a lot of the food channel.

Fall at Bridal Veil Falls

A couple weeks ago we took a little stroll through Bridal Veil Park, we seem to have missed the fall folliage, but it was still very beautiful. It's such a beautiful place that is very dear to our hearts, it's really one of the prettiest spots in Utah Valley.

Halloween Hijinx

Yesterday, Ashley and I made some fun halloween treats. For the recipe go to, and it should be on their home page.

Tomato Trauma

The tomato plant was a little neglected this year. I did a popular Utah brand, "early girls." They did not live up to their name. Oh well, better luck next year. See our plentiful bounty.

Dining for America

Last night we participated in the "Dine for America" effort and ate at Carrabba's Italian Grill. There they donated 100% of their profits to help victims on the Gulf Coast. Always happy to help---and to eat.:)

Somewhere In Time

This is from our trip to Mackinac Island with Chris, Jennifer, Emily, Christopher, Calvin and Spencer. We had a ball and ate lots of fudge! We can't wait to go back!

This is Tony, me, Christopher, Marta and Benjamin. While Mom and Christopher were in town the boys did a lot of whatever it is boys do and Mom and I enjoyed our time together, we went to Timp Caves, made Rhubarb Crumble, and took walks. This is from our dinner at the Macaroni Grill. Don't we look fancy?

Lake Powell

This is from our July trip to Lake was a great time! Tony's a little wind blown as it was about a 1/2 hour ride by boat to the marina. While here we went boating, swimming, fishing, and Tony attempted skiing (it was a lot harder than it looked). We ate a lot, played games and had tons of fun with Ashley and Cody.

Hi Everyone!
I just started this blog so I can easily show people what we've been up to and hopefully to stay in touch a little it's fun.
Love, Anna :)
