I feel like I live in a snow globe...

Seriously...I am so ready for Summer. I hope it's a really hot, sticky one.
This picture is from a couple weeks ago; Lucy and Grammi were out playing in the snow. She sure is lucky to have such a fun Grammi. We've had a lot of great news around here lately...Lucy will be getting two cousins this Summer, Genn(y)(ie), and Baby Boy O yet to be named. We're really excited to have more family, there sure isn't anything better. Here are some other things we're really looking forward to this summer:

Music in the Park
Swimming
The Lake(s)
Going to the Park
Spray Park
Hiking
Biking
The Fourth

So, come on Spring...HURRY UP!

Sunny Days...

Last week Grammi treated Lu and I to a special treat. We went to Sesame Street Live at the Fox Theater. It was such a beautiful place. Lucy was such a ham-she must have been channeling Abby Cadabby. It was a great show, very entertaining and I have to say the Sesame Street crew has some pretty sweet dance moves. There must be a hip-hop studio nearby. Thanks, Grammi!

My first Amigurumi

This was so fun to make, maybe I should make a whole food set for Lucy's kitchen. Although, I think she'd rather have a dinosaur or robot. Oh-I should crochet Peep, Quack and Chirp! That would be so cute. Okay-that's what I'm going to do...I could put them in her Easter Basket. Thanks for the good idea, self.

I found the pattern for free on Amigurumi Girl's site.

Snow Day!

I hope everyone enjoyed their snow day. We sure did. We headed to the cousins for playing in the snow and steaming hot chocolate. There were forts, snowballs, swinging, slides, crying, building, stealing, demolishing and general merriment.

"Pancakes definitely make you lower your expectations.
You’re like, 'Well, looks like I’m not showering today.'"

We did the free Denny's breakfast again this year. There was a shorter line, a bacon spoon, and a syrup straw. I think the very best part was having fun with the kids.

Something new

I'm working on something new so the blog might look a little funky for a while.
