R is for Road Trip

Come on a road trip with us.  I've said before that I'm raising my best friend and I felt that sentiment again yesterday during our Mother/Daughter road trip.  We sang Twinkle, Twinkle about 100 times, played I Spy, talked, and generally acted silly.  Lucy was the one to spot this rainbow first-it was a great way to start out our trip.
Here she said, "I'm CRAZY Lu!"
Lucy behind the lens.
And, in front of it.
Hey! Prehistoric Forest!

Bruno's Pizza, yum!

The purpose of the trip was to see a great friend, who was in the area on business.  She loves lighthouses and when we met, I told her she needed to come to the Great Lakes so she could see all the lighthouses here.  This was her first, real-live, lighthouse experience.  I loved getting to see it with her.  Unfortunately, we couldn't go in because it was closed, but it was beautiful from the outside.  The lake is so pretty.  I couldn't have asked for a better getaway with great company, smooth roads, yummy pizza and beautiful scenery and a sweet travelling companion.  Where should we go next?
