Brookies+

Brownie mix cookies are a new favorite of mine. Super simple and richly delicious.
Take a box of brownie mix, add 2/3 C of flour, 2 eggs, 3 T of water, 3 T of oil and beat until smooth.
Bake at 350 for 11-12 minutes. They end up smooth and soft on the inside and just a smidge crispy on the outside, like a good corner brownie.


You could stop there...

Or not.

You could sandwich two cookies with chocolate nougat. Mmm...I suggest it.
Make sure you have milk on hand.

Chocolate Nougat:
Melt 2 cups of chocolate chips
Beat with a hand mixer for a few minutes and then add a tub of cool whip, beat it for a minute.
That's it.

I tried to make them. They looked yummy and simple, and I must admit I'm really loving simple lately. I made up the chocolate nougat and froze it for double the amount of time suggested in the recipe. When I took it out and started cutting it up to start dipping, it seemed a bit gooey still. I stuck it back in the freezer for a while, and it was still gooey so I thought maybe that's just how it was supposed to be. I started dipping and the nougat chunks started falling into the melted chocolate. It turned the melted chocolate hard and undippable...but into a really yummy truffle filling consistency. So, I had all the nougat and wasn't sure what to do with it. Until now.

So. I am fasting today. Simply because... no one knows why my body is so crazy. and then... I see these pictures. Need I say more? *A little hint of jealosy*
