Backlog, sweets

I made these for Em's b-day.  I started with Kraft's Vanilla Mousse Cheesecake recipe (my favorite cheesecake) and made cupcakes out of them, then filled a piping bag with the mousse, dipped the tip in raspberry syrup as I frosted.  Yum.

I'm looking for a copycat for Kroger bakery's whipped frosting.  I like a good butter cream...but their whipped's one of my favorites.  You know how I like to home make things so I tried this recipe.  It wasn't exactly what I was looking for but it was amazing.  I think it needs to be a bit sweeter, it tastes a little like Cupcake Station's french butter cream, as is, and I like my frosting a little sweeter and I'm not a huge sweet frosting person.  I like that this uses granulated sugar and not powdered, that's where I think a lot of frostings get too sweet.  The texture is silky smooth.
