They were last weekend and super fun and funny, as usual.
This year we told funny and embarrassing "mom," stories. It was so great. Everyone has them...it's nice to know that what we think are our most mortifying moments aren't so bad and that we're not alone. What happens at Mom Awards, stays at Mom Awards. :)
I had an epiphany and decided to make cookie spoons this year...they were so cute and yummy. And then, coincidentally I won the Chef Mom Award. There is steep competition so I was honored to be the recipient. Jen is so creative, she named all the awards after TV and movie Moms, mine was the Paula Deen Award. Jen won Fan Mom Award (meaning she is such a fan of all her kids activities) and it was the Beverly Goldberg Awards. Do you watch Goldbergs? You should. It's the best show on TV right now.
We also did the gift exchange again this year, I gave my favorite ice cream, because really...curling up on the couch and watching Goldbergs after the kids go to bed is really a survival item for me.
Super fun night, super fun friends.
I painted on the gold with this stuff I found in the frosting section at Michael's.
Letters for a bunting.
